FEW TIPS WHEN STORING IN A RENTED STORAGE UNIT

LABEL ALL BOXES
It might take you quite some time to sort things out according to the room they belong to. But, labelling each one of your boxes will definitely make your life easier whenever you need to take something out of the storage.

PICK THE RIGHT HEAVY-DUTY BOX
There is a reason why boxes are not all of the same size. Try putting heavy objects like books in small boxes and lighter objects in bigger ones; and always make sure that the boxes are not overfilled. Don’t create a weight that you cannot actually lift! Bubble wrap and tape is ideal for those strange shaped items.

ORGANISE THE STORAGE SPACE
To have a steady base start by placing the heaviest boxes at the bottom; perhaps on a pallet so that there is no direct contact with the floor. Then, continue by piling up the boxes with lighter objects. Make use as well of hidden spaces to store more things, such as the inside of a cupboard you have stored.

CREATE AN ACCESS
Leave a small passageway in the middle of the storage unit so whenever you go looking for something you can access through easily, without need of doing any strange stunts! Spacing the objects slightly from one another and from the walls will also enhance ventilation.

INVENTORY
As boring as it may be, do make an inventory of all the items you’re storing. You don’t want to waste a whole day looking for something you forgot where you put for nothing!
